Drills to fill it

120 × 160 drills, about 19,200 in all if every spot is filled.

The printed design usually stops short of the edges of the canvas, so measure the area with symbols on it, not the whole sheet.

Frequently asked

How big are diamond painting drills?
Square drills are 2.5 mm across and round drills are about 2.8 mm. Square drills sit edge to edge, so the same picture holds more of them than round ones.
How many drills are on a 30 by 40 cm canvas?
With square drills, a 30 by 40 cm picture is 120 by 160 drills, or 19,200 in all. With round drills it's about 107 by 142, a little over 15,000.
Why measure the picture rather than the canvas?
The printed design usually stops short of the edges of the sheet, so the canvas size overstates the drill count. Measure the area with symbols on it.
Should I pick round or square drills?
Round drills are easier to place and forgiving if one sits slightly off. Square drills take more care but give a smoother, tiled finish. The beginner's guide covers the difference in more detail.
