Terms of Service

The basics: use Craft Studio respectfully, your patterns are yours, and we do our best to keep the lights on.

Using Craft Studio

Craft Studio is free to use. You need a free account to create, save, publish, and export patterns, and a few actions like publishing have generous daily limits; some standalone tools on the site (such as the gauge calculator and color chart) work without an account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Craft Studio. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian.

Your content

You own the patterns you create on Craft Studio. When you publish a pattern, you grant us a license to display it on the site, include it in search results, and show thumbnails of it in the community gallery. You can unpublish or delete your patterns at any time, which removes them from public view.

Community guidelines

Craft Studio is a creative community. We ask that you treat other makers with respect. Do not publish patterns that contain offensive, hateful, or illegal content. Do not upload designs that you have copied from another creator without permission. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to suspend accounts that repeatedly break the rules.

Past subscriptions

Craft Studio used to offer a paid subscription and no longer sells one. Every subscription has been canceled so none will renew, and active subscribers had their most recent payment refunded in full. Payments were processed by Stripe, and we never saw or stored your card details. If you have a question about a past charge, contact us via the contact page.

Liability

Craft Studio is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep the service running and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for any lost patterns or data. We recommend exporting important work regularly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of Craft Studio after a change means you accept the updated terms.
