Terms of Service

The basics: use Craft Studio respectfully, your patterns are yours, and we do our best to keep the lights on.

Using Craft Studio

Craft Studio is free to use. You can create, edit, and export patterns without an account. To save patterns online, publish them, or access premium features, you need to create an account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Craft Studio. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian.

Your content

You own the patterns you create on Craft Studio. When you publish a pattern, you grant us a licence to display it on the site, include it in search results, and show thumbnails of it in the community gallery. You can unpublish or delete your patterns at any time, which removes them from public view.

Community guidelines

Craft Studio is a creative community. We ask that you treat other makers with respect. Do not publish patterns that contain offensive, hateful, or illegal content. Do not upload designs that you have copied from another creator without permission. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to suspend accounts that repeatedly break the rules.

Premium features

Some features are available through a paid subscription. Prices are listed on the upgrade page at the time of purchase, and payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, and you will keep access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. Patterns you created with premium tools remain yours after cancellation. And if you change your mind, no hard feelings: contact us via the contact page within 7 days of any charge — first payment or renewal — and we’ll refund it in full.

Liability

Craft Studio is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep the service running and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for any lost patterns or data. We recommend exporting important work regularly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of Craft Studio after a change means you accept the updated terms.
