About the Design

This pattern captures the familiar sparkle emoji as four scattered star bursts across a 10×10 grid. Each star is built from a simple plus-shaped cluster of stitches, varying in size to mimic the twinkling, layered look of the original glyph. The largest burst anchors the right side of the design, while three smaller stars fill out the composition with playful asymmetry.

Skill Level and Time

With only 25 total stitches, this is a genuinely beginner-friendly project that most stitchers can complete in about half an hour. The straightforward plus shapes make it a good practice piece for learning basic counting and placement on a grid, or a fast palate cleanser between larger projects.
