Frequently asked

Is Craft Studio free like Xstitchify?
Both are free to start. Xstitchify's free plan includes PNG previews and 5 PDF downloads with its branding when you sign up; after that it's credit packs or a subscription from $9.99/month. Craft Studio is free all the way through, with PDF, PNG, SVG, and EPS export on every pattern, and Excel for charts up to 300 × 300. It needs a free account to use the editor.
Can I move my Xstitchify patterns to Craft Studio?
Download a PNG color preview of your pattern from Xstitchify (those are free). In Craft Studio, set your pattern to the chart's stitch count, turn on Crisp edges, then drop the PNG into image import. Each cell is matched to your palette, and you can tidy up from there. Craft Studio doesn't open OXS files.
Does Craft Studio have partial stitches and French knots?
Yes. Half-square and quarter-square partial stitches, French knots, and backstitch are in the editor for every account, and they carry through to your PDF, PNG, SVG, and EPS exports. The diagonal half cross stitch isn't one of them.
Does Craft Studio make patterns from a text prompt?
No. Craft Studio's import and palette tools are built on classic image processing: sharpening, color quantizing, and color theory. There are no prompts and no generation credits. The same photo with the same settings gives the same chart, and you edit every stitch yourself.
